The idea that every child has musical potential and all children are able to learn and express themselves musically. Teachers are supportive and encouraging of the child’s musical endeavors. Children learn with music, learn about music, and learn by music. Music is incorporated via daily classroom environment as well as through music classes.

Outdoor play time is scheduled every day and Students have ample opportunity for exercise – physical activities inherent social values which directly impact on psychological reactions and achievement behaviors of the child. The high level energy of this age group develops physical skills, fitness and teamwork. Martial Art is a safe way for kids to get out extra energy and plays a very important role in the maintenance of student-peer relationships, self-control and develop concentration

Our School Trips are regularly scheduled throughout the year. Examples of past in-school field trips include a trip to Gurudwara, Children park, Aquarium, Fire Station, Zoo, Museum etc. as this exposes children to the real world. Children begin to understand and appreciate the relevance of what they are learning when they see real-life application of the lessons they are learning in school.

Teachers provide students with long lasting impressionistic lessons that reinforce the idea that people around the world have distinctive yet similar celebrations. Students retain the joy of holiday celebrations as they learn about a variety of cultural observances. These celebrations help students to understand a great significance to people throughout time and across all cultures. Holidays are a way that people come together to worship and celebrate the festivals. The message is clear: it is wonderful to be different and honor what is unique about each culture and person, but let us celebrate our humanity together. Important events, National holidays and cultural celebrations are incorporated into the school curriculum.

Cultural activities lead the child to experience music, stories, artwork and items from the child’s community, society and cultural background. The culture area encourages children to develop their capacity for creation and develop fine motor skills, whilst learning to freely express themselves. Through cultural activities, children develop an awareness and appreciation of the world around them.

Between the age of 2 to 3 years old, children go through a language ‘explosion’. Language is part of every activity, Tender Toys Play school apply Language materials which are specifically designed to enhance vocabulary and explore both written and spoken language and with the help of these tools children start reading, building and blending words.

Children are encouraged to explore their creativity by using various art media such as water paints, markers, colored pencils, crayons, paper craft, colour printing, etc. Our art program develops creativity, aesthetic sense and appreciation of art.

Through stories, we aim to instill positive eating habits and personal hygiene. Various stories are shown in Puppet show by teachers in which children are taught about good values like:

• Play Outdoors
• Cleaning Up the Mess
• Say ‘Please‘ and ‘Thank You’

We robustly believe in cooperation between school and the Parents. Therefore, we have created a unique Grandparents participation program; in which the grandparents participate in different programs and perform along their child. Thereby, in this way Tender Toys play school not only enhancing the parenting skills but also giving an opportunity to send a message to your child that there life is important to parents and for school.

Attending such programs results in bridging the communication gap between the parents & the school. As a result, the work in cooperation ensures a healthy & a positive environment both at school and at home.
